In the heart of Geneva—the global hub for human rights, home to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and to the Treaty Bodies, the birth place of the Human Rights Council—the International Association for Human Rights Advocacy in Geneva is dedicated to providing support to victims of human rights violations, with a particular focus on the respect for civil and political rights, especially in Türkiye.

We believe that the strategic use of the United Nations human rights mechanisms can drive long-term social change. While these mechanisms are not magical solutions, when used effectively, they become powerful tools for civil society to demand accountability and advocate for change from public authorities. Our commitment is unwavering: we cannot and will not remain silent in the face of unspeakable abuses.
